Collaborative Projects
In the collaborative project, "Papersound," Joki worked with composer, Chris Auerbach-Brown, in creating a room-scale visual and sound installation. Auerbach-Brown's electronic composition is inspired by Joki's imagined mappings of sound.
The collaborative project, "Voyage of Discovery - Entdecker und Entdeckte," grew out of Joki's six-week residency in Dresden, Germany in 2002. Dresden artist, Udo Haufe, proposed a print collaboration resulting in Joki and Haufe exchanging letters and a developing body of work through the postal service between Dresden and Cleveland, Ohio over a period of three years. The resulting works were exhibited at the Kulturrathaus in Dresden in 2006 and at Zygote Press Gallery in Cleveland in 2007.
